Theresa Bange Director of Bands and Orchestras tbange@aacps.org
Theresa Bange has been a music teacher in Anne Arundel County for over 25 years. Her roles have included teaching elementary general and instrumental music, middle school theater arts, and high school band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, piano, guitar, and music theory. Currently, she is the Director of the Marching and Symphonic Bands, Jazz Ensemble, String Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra at North County High School.
Her commitment to inspire and educate as a teacher, active clinician and adjudicator have gained Mrs. Bange’s ensembles a reputation for excellence in which they have experienced many prestigious performing opportunities during her tenure. As a performing musician, Mrs. Bange has been a clarinetist and saxophone player in many different types of ensembles including concert bands, big bands, orchestras and several small ensembles. A life-long resident of Anne Arundel County, Mrs. Bange resides with her husband, Darren and two daughters, Lauren and Jaclyn. A product of AACPS, she attended schools in the northern area of the county and is a graduate of Glen Burnie High School. (Yes, she was once a Gopher Girl!) Mrs. Bange holds Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland and a Master of Music Education degree also from the Peabody Institute. She is currently completing her administration certification from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland.
